View Wine 1.5 Ltr 12c Cabernet Sauvigno The Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard was a perfect location to produce a prodigious wine from the cooler than normal vintage. Loaded with volcanic rock, slightly sloped and planted to clone 7, the B1B block is typically my first Cabernet to come in.  This played nicely for the cooler challenges of 2011 to trump the vintage. Dark & glossy to the rim, an explosion of cassis, minerality and clove spice notes emerge from the glass. These notes combine with a lush and silky mid palate naturally framed by lively acidity. Waves of ripe blue fruits are followed by Rutherford dust that flows layers after layer. The mile long finish is where this wine really shines; showcasing the famous pedigree of this vineyard. Like previous vintages, look for this wine to drink well young with a short decant. Age it 6-8 years to reveal the historical nuances vineyard brings out.  Red   $165.00 Add To Cellar
View Wine 1.5 Ltr 12c Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 ushered in a long growing season sprinkled with even temperatures and sun kissed days.   A perfect vintage for this early ripening vineyard, we harvested hours before the season's first rain storm.  This wine reminds us of a combination of the 2008 and 2009 vintages, marrying both power and structure into one seamless package.  In the glass, the eye immediately fixates on the deep garnet color that stretches to the rim.  Scents of dark raspberries, cassis, lavender and Belgium chocolate are intertwined with a lush and velvety texture.  On the mid palate, you discover a plush silkiness followed by a cloak of soft and powered tannins gliding to the finish.  The finish is where this wine really shines, elegant yet muscular, floating across the palate with both deftness and grace,  taking this wine to another level. Cellar for 2-3 years to unwind the baby fat on this beauty and it will gain further nuances for the next 8-10 years. Red   $160.00 Add To Cellar
